  2.            Sony Chooses NewTek's LightWave 3D For Development Environment

  5. TOKYO, NICOGRAPH 96, Nov.  21 -- NewTek, Inc.  manufacturer of LightWave 3D(TM),
  6. Video  Toaster(TM)  and  the  Video Toaster Flyer(TM), announced today that Sony
  7. Computer  Entertainment  Inc.   has selected NewTek's LightWave 3D 4.0 to supply
  8. all  existing  and  new members of the Net Yaroze, Sony Computer Entertainment's
  9. innovative project targeted at PlayStation hobbyist creators.

  11. Introduced  by  Sony  Computer  Entertainment Inc.  in May 1996, Net Yaroze is a
  12. complete  development environment providing the creative hobbyist member an easy
  13. to  use  yet powerful game development solution called "Starter Kit", as well as
  14. providing  the  Internet servers which support members' mutual communication and
  15. contents  up-download activities.  Net Yaroze was designed to encourage hobbyist
  16. creators  to  aggressively  challenge  the  brand new category of masterpiece by
  17. co-development utilizing Net Yaroze servers.  Using the members existing PC, the
  18. Net  Yaroze  project provides them with an understanding of 3D graphics oriented
  19. content development, from both a programming and graphics viewpoint with Starter
  20. Kit software and LightWave 3D 4.0 software.
